Moreover, you may want to choose a double stroller that aligns with the type of activity that you want to use it for (jogging, shopping, walking in the park, or whatever). To further assist you in making the right choice, we’ll break down some important parameters to keep in mind while selecting the best double stroller, include information on the following:

The ages of the children – The best double stroller for twins will be different from depending upon the age of the kids. For example, there is one kid who cannot stand, sit and stand best double stroller can be chosen so that it can cater to the needs of both. If twins are going to be using it, in that case the side-by-side types may be more appropriate in the perfect manner, where the twins will feel more comfortable near each other. If your children with little age differences are going to be using it, then the tandem stroller is suited, where one child is seated behind the other may be more useful for each child to have their own space. While children with greater age difference need to use the stroller, then one where the back seat is transposable with a platform for the older child to stand or sit on may be a better fit.

Where the double stroller will be used most frequently? When a stroller is going to be used in situations which entail a lot of shopping trips, in that case one where the seat detaches quickly to double as a car seat and is lighter weight would be ideal. Conditions requiring excessive use on the beach, or grass will advantage from the all-terrain strollers which have three wheels for pushing ease and a comfortable ride.

Size of the space car and your own strength. Many top rated double strollers tend to be large as well as heavy, as a result you may want to make sure that the one you pick will be able to fit in your car. And you may need to keep the strollers weight in mind if public transport is going to be used frequently.

Price & Brand Name of the double stroller: It would be wise to fix a budget for the type of double strollers that you need. It is good to pay out a little more as this is a special product bought for infants who still don’t even know how to walk. Good strollers tend to cost more but are worth every penny. A proper stroller is going to be your best friend for years, therefore savings should not really dominate your choice. Ignore it and just pay attention for matching your purpose.

Ease of use Safety – All of our double stroller reviews put a giant emphasis on safety when selecting the best one. This is, because the health and wellness of your child should be your first priority. If a stroller is reviewed with a low safety rating, this should move up an immediate red flag. Accordingly, we recommend you steer away from these models and choose one with higher ratings.

Comfort – It is imperative to keep the comfort of your baby in mind. Strollers are rated high on comfort allow your child to rest more peacefully.. Child’s comfort includes: a) Reclining Seat with roomy interior. Roomy enough to sleep, sit and relax without any issues. b) Sun Canopy: big and sturdy, that provides protection from nature’s elements on a summer afternoon. Canopies can come in a lot of designs. Some create a total enclosure, while the another only cover the face. Still the others have a window that allows the child to look outside and the parent to keep an eye on the child inside, and control the child's exposure, making the child feel more secure. c) Quality of fabrics: This feature is very important to the child’s comfort for better shock-absorption ergonomics. It is best to find a stroller that uses soft, thick, preferably water-proof fabrics seat cover material. It is also important to check the amount of padding. Various cheap strollers skimp on the padding which can lead to children not wanting to sit in the stroller. A few strollers have removable seat covers. Of course, this must be very convenient when it comes to cleaning amazing stains. d) Suspension: for a smooth ride over rough terrain and bumpy roads. The advanced suspension system with adjustable shocks or simple but good spring suspensions. Double strollers are rated low have less padding and can leave your baby more agitated out whining and crying regularly.

Extra storage – Some strollers may include additional perks such as larger storage space, canopies, and easy folding features to bring everything from toys, food, juices, diapers, and wipes that you need for an entire day outdoors. These features are not necessarily required for the purpose of strolling your kids alongside, but they can add to the comfort and value that you get.

Harnesses: Strollers come in three point or five point harnesses. One with three point harness that goes across the stomach with a strap between both legs. This type works best for comfort. The other has two additional straps coming down the shoulders to better secure the child. For the additional sensitive children, harnesses with padding are a good decision. Higher quality strollers also come with newly developed buckles that make it very difficult for a child to open, but uncomplicated for the parent.

Brakes: The hand brake allows the runner to maintain form and pace when running downhill with the stroller;rather than having to sit back and act as the brake to keep from losing control of the stroller. It may not be a big deal on small or shallow hills, however with long steep hills, lacking a hand brake could create a significant break from your normal running form. Most strollers have brakes that can be operated by your foot, although a double jogging stroller uses hand brakes similar to those on a bike with Pneumatic tires. These can go flat, just like a bike tire, nevertheless the air provides cushioning that is crucial for a smooth ride for baby. Either way, good quality brakes will hold the stroller in place when engaged and reduce rolling resistance.

Handlebars: Some handle bars are fixed and might not be too comfortable for the parents to push if the height of the parents is above or below standard. It is possible to buy a stroller with adjustable handlebars, but I think naturally they come with added costs. A number of handlebars are padded making pushing them easier and more comfortable.
Folding Apparatus: How small does it become and how easy is it to do it. How Small applies to you if you have a small car or storage space. Then, you'll probably want a stroller that folds twice as these tend to have the smallest profile when folded. How Easy applies to any parent. Most strollers take at least two hands to break down, although some can be easily snapped fully into place with only one hand. This is invaluable while your other hand is occupied with carrying or comforting a testy child, or else holding on to any number of other things.
Handle Height: If you use this stroller for running, you will want to look for one with an adjustable handle. A small number of situations are more frustrating than trying to do a decent run with a stroller handle that doesn't fit. Because Your arm swing is already restricted by pushing the stroller; and if you have to hold your hands unusually high as well, you will be much more attracted to hire a babysitter next time. Lots of companies offer a stroller with an adjustable height handle and while some want to accomplish this better than others.
Footrests: Finding the best double stroller that has footrests that are just the right length for your child can be tricky, and even when you find the one, children outgrow it quickly. A foot-rest with a longer drop allows bigger kids to extend their legs for comfortable sitting. Buying a stroller with an adjustable footrest is best.
Stability and Durability – sturdy frame and all parts of the construction are a good attribute for a your best double stroller. Turning a stroller depends on uneven distribution of weight among the wheels so that you can easily and smoothly lift the front wheel incrementally to turn the stroller around a corner or bend in the road. Fewer plastic joints is better. Take into consideration how much of your stroller time will be spent running versus walking.
Front Wheel: Many double strollers available today offer a front wheel that can be either locked into the straight-ahead position that is best for jogging, or set free to swivel, that makes steering when walking much better. This decision is related to the stability issue above. So, If you will be using your stroller only for running or jogging, in that case you don't need to spend the extra dollars to get one with a swivel option on the front wheel. Your running with the wheel in swivel form is unsafe because running over even a small pebble with a swivel wheel at running speeds could send the stroller quickly veering in an unplanned direction.

But who uses the stroller only for running? If you are in a city or other area where space is limited, you will find out the swivel wheel of great assistance in maneuvering the stroller around stores or online shop, sidewalks and anywhere else you might take your child. However, if you live in an area where there is plenty of room in stores and parking lots and the sidewalks are wide and sparsely populated, maybe you get along just fine with a wheel that is always facing onward.

• Side-by-Side/Twin
• Tandem
• All-Terrain Double Stroller
• Sit and Stand
• Double Umbrella
• Double Jogging

Side-by-Side / Twin Strollers

Side-by-side or twin strollers are the extra traditional styled version made with two seats next to each other. This kind of double baby stroller used to be too wide to go through outdoor settings with uneven terrain or store aisles, but having a wider middle of gravity, builds this type of stroller more stable with less chances of tipping and the twin strollers becomes narrower. It operates best when children of the same weight are seated next to each other.

Side-by-side strollers offer the same arm and leg room for both babies. They can easily see and talk each other, also see their surroundings better. The parent can easily keep an eye on both children at the same time. However, this very same quality also makes it a little awkward to push as you have to alter your stance to keep it from wavering and going straight.

Side-by-side double baby strollers should also have the option of attaching at least one infant car seat to it, very little have double car seat capacity. As the children grow, both of them get plenty of legroom to stretch out. All riders get seats that can recline fully so both children can take naps simultaneously or independently.

Tandem Strollers

A tandem double baby stroller merely specifies that has two seats, the one behind the other. The back seat can be reclined fully, and have a better view for the child seated there. Therefore, such a tandem stroller is ideal for an infant and a toddler, where the older sits in front and the younger sibling lies or sits at the back seat. Nevertheless many families do like a tandem for their twins as many models these days can take two infant car seats as a double travel system.

A tandem stroller has narrow width by design, which allows access through doors and tight spaces. Pushing and controlling the tandem double stroller is also easier through crowds than a side by side since you're going in single file, taking up less space. However turning corners is more difficult with all that stroller and weight sticking out in front. Typically, tandem strollers tend to be easier to store in the car as well as the closet.

All Terrain Double Strollers

All terrain strollers, also known as sport strollers or sport utility strollers, are ideal for parents who enjoy the great outdoors and prefer to take long walks or hikes off-road or on pavement. On the other hand, many models are perfectly suited for jogging as well. All-terrain double strollers have three wheels with a front swivel wheel that has the option to lock straight for better stability over different types of sufaces compared to a standard double stroller, especially when jogging. Moreover, these strollers are equipped with pumped tires which can handle rugged terrains with bumps easily. Perfectly, they provide for a smooth ride over surfaces like gravel, or paths with chipped wood, or grassy areas, and sand.

Most all-terrain double baby strollers can accommodate an infant car seat with the addition of an adapter accessory, yet jogging is not recommended with any all-terrain stroller when it is being used as a travel scheme. Many of these strollers will only accommodate one infant car seat, not for two, thus an all-terrain is not the best idea for twins until they grow bigger.

The more costly models come with removable covers that can be washed. Moreover, they offer large storage areas for carrying all supplies like diaper bags, toys and extra clothing under the seats.

Sit and Stand Strollers

Sit and stand strollers are the answer parents have been waiting for when they have a baby who needs a stroller and a toddler who can walk and doesn't like to be strapped down in a stroller. They allow the baby to sit in comfort or recline when tired while the older sibling can hold a bar and ride standing on the platform at the back.

Your older child likes the independence of being able to get in or out without adult assistance, and standing and riding when you need to get on your way. Yet when your child needs a relax, a simple padded bend is provided next to the platform.

Compared to conventional strollers, a sit and stand is usually lighter in weight and more compact than a regular tandem stroller. They are easier to navigate in narrow spaces and fold into a reduced size for easy storage and transport in a car trunk. When the standing area is unoccupied, it may be used as a storage area and this makes a sit and stand stroller popular among parents with only one child. Various manufacturers offer attachments that can be purchased separately so parents can customize the strollers according to needs.

Umbrella Double Strollers

Umbrella strollers get their name from the curved double handles; like an upside down “J” that they typically come with, they also fold up very easily. Umbrella strollers are the lightest, leanest, and simplest strollers on the market today. Umbrella strollers have cloth or vinyl seats on basic frame, with narrow features such as a sunshade and storage holder. They generally weigh less than 20 pounds, and their compact size make them great to carry easily on public transport like a train, bus or air plane.

Despite their compact design, there are several variations parents can choose from. Several designs offer canopy roofs that protect the children from excessive sunshine. Mesh screens allow parents to look in on the babies with no trouble. Many styles offer a full enclosure covers so riders can be protected from rain or snowfall. Some models come with reclining seats so babies can either be seated or made to lie down for a nap.

However, umbrella strollers are designed for infants that are at least 6 months old who can sit in an upright situation. They are not suitable for newborn babies because this type of stroller usually does not recline flat, even though some models can.

Double Jogging Strollers

Double jogging strollers are excellent for active parents who are serious about their jogging and want to take their young children with them. They are usually made with three large bicycle-style racing to withstand the vibrations of a faster speed. The jogging strollers are also good not only for walking but also for jogging on rough terrains or uneven surfaces. However, jogging strollers have fixed wheels making it perfect for jogging, so they aren't that convenient for maneuvering.

Jogging strollers make use of tires that are 12 to 16 inches in diameter to have rear or all-wheel suspension systems, which make it simpler for joggers to maneuver it smoothly on uneven roads. The smaller twelve inch tires are more suitable for city jogging while the larger ones are more appropriate for tougher terrain like parks or cross-country. Double jogging strollers also come with multiple braking hand systems, which are a wonderful safety features. The majority double jogging strollers have similar features just like their regular double stroller counterparts. Weight is also a big issue with jogging double strollers, as a result, it is best to get one with aluminum frame with alloy wheels, to keep the weight down and also resist rust.

An added benefit with double jogging strollers is that due to its larger size, the storage area is also quiet outsized. There are additional storage pockets behind each seat for you. Several of the more extravagant models even have speakers to which iPods can be connected. But they are not however suitable for babies under six months of age.

Joovy Caboose Ultralight – Best Sit and Stand

Each mother with a few children kids knows the stroller difficulty. Ifyou have 02 or 04 young children, you invest energy looking into strollers, attempting to make sense of which one would best suit your needs. Should the stroller be side to side, front and back, sit and stand, running or regular? I'm enchanted to have discovered a stroller that suits our families require and is extremely flexible for the kids we have!

The Joovy Caboose Ultralight Double Stroller is the thing that I would call a sit and stand stroller. With a 04 year old, 02 year old, and a 04 month old infant this is the ideal stroller for us. The front piece of the stroller can convey our infant, or our 02 year old. Really our 04 year old moved in the stroller and rode around for a short time and our 02 year old was in the back part! While the seat may look littler, it really has a lot of room.

Our more established childrenaffection sitting or remaining in the back of the stroller. I like how simple it is for them to jump on or off the stroller, as we all know more seasoned childrendon't care to simply sit in one spot for quite a while when there are energizing things to see.

What I enjoyed the best about this stroller is how easy it is to push! You can tell this stroller has an extremely strong edge on it. I cherish, adoration, adore how delicate and padded the handle bar is. When you are at the zoo throughout the day, it makes it decent to have something that is cushioned to push.

This stroller is lighter than most double strollers – only 21pounds. So I can without much of a stretch lift it up and load it in our van. It does take up a considerable measure of trunk space in our smaller than usual van, yet most double strollers do. If we go on an outing we will simply strap it to the highest point of our van since we have a baggage rack there.

The nature of the fabric is brilliant. I like how the covering is anything but difficult to change for either youngster too.
The stroller came via the post office bundled safely in this huge box.
Every one of the parts were in one major pack, alongside the casing of the stroller.
Everybody contributed and helped amass it, which was not difficult to do by any stretch of the imagination!

I like to bolster organizations in the USA, and I'm excited that Joovy is an American organization. They appear like a family benevolent organization. Generally speaking I'm extremely satisfied with this stroller, and suspect getting numerous years of utilization out it.

BOB Ironman – Best Distance Jogger

Baby Jogger Summit X3 – Side-by-Side, All-Terrain – Best Fixed/Swivel Wheel Jogger

The Baby Jogger Summit X3 is a reliable jogging stroller that comes with several features and functions that make it an ideal option for parents. Having an adjustable handlebar that permits converting it between jogger and stroller modes, this model can be easily folded with only one hand, as well as a hand-operated rear brake that will give you full control over its movements on uneven terrain.

The stroller also provides an all-wheel suspension system that automatically soaks up road bumps, therefore keeping your child comfortable and perfectly secure. Although pricier, the Baby Jogger X3 Summit delivers an excellent jogger for those serious runners that need a durable, safe and comfortable piece of equipment. While not as popular as some of the other models on our list, the X3 has received glowing reviews from those who have purchased it.

Recommended Weight Capacity: 75 lbs

Product Features

Fully-Pivoting Front Wheel: The Baby Jogger X3 Summit comes with a fully-pivoting front wheel that can swivel according to your needs for better maneuverability. The rotating wheel will allow you to better turn tight corners and avoid obstacles. If you are planning to go jogging, or the terrain is more demanding, the wheel can be locked forwards by simply flipping a lever.

All-Wheel Suspension System: One of the most notable features of this Baby Jogger stroller is its excellent all-wheel suspension system, which will successfully minimize road bumps that can possibly cause discomfort to your child. It does an excellent job of absorbing shock and making the entire ride for the kids more enjoyable and less jarring.

Adjustable Reclining Seat: This jogger comes with an adjustable seat that can be reclined in a nearly flat position, as well as five-point safety harness and a weather cover that can improve airflow when the seat is reclined.

Large Adjustable Canopy: To enhance your baby’s comfort, this model features a large adjustable canopy that can successfully protect passengers against sun exposure, rain, wind and other elements.

What Owners Like About the Baby Jogger Summit X3

Excellent Suspension: What customers really like about the X3 Summit is the excellent suspension this jogging stroller is equipped with. The all-wheel suspension system of this Baby Jogger model will keep your child steady, absorbing shock that shows up as a result of bumping into something, or walking on unleveled terrain.

Enhanced Comfort: Much to customers’ delight, this jogging stroller is very comfortable, which allows babies to easily fall asleep during longer “adventures”. The seat is adjustable and can be reclined for this purpose, so your little one can stay in a very comfy position and enjoy a good nap. Due to the canopy and weather cover, you will always be able to protect your child against undesirable weather conditions while also improving airflow when the seat is reclined. Owners are typically very pleased with its comfort features.

Swiveling Front Wheel: Another aspect buyers like about their Baby Jogger X3 Summit is the swiveling front wheel of this jogging stroller. Parents were able to successfully maneuver the X3 Summit without encountering problems, specifically because the front wheel could easily rotate to the desired direction to suit their needs and avoid obstacles. However, Baby Jogger has engineered the wheel to also stay locked forwards when the lever is flipped, which makes it a great option if you are planning to go jogging.

Fold Down Frame: Baby Jogger has really made a name for itself with its quick fold technology that it implements into each of their strollers. This model can be folded down with one hand for easier storage and transportation. Owners really appreciate this feature.

What Could Be Better?

Durability: Some users had some issues with cleaning their stroller and the fabrics tearing. Reading through various customer reviews this does not seem to be a prevalent problem, but more isolated.

Weight: Some parents also wished that the X3 weighed a little bit less. Getting it in and out of the vehicle was a bit of a chore for a few owners.

Related Strollers

This Baby Jogger stroller is on par with a couple of other models on our list. If the features of the X3 sound appealing you can also check out the BOB Revolution SE and the Jeep Adventure strollers for comparison.

For those looking for something a little less pricey might be interested in the Schwinn Turismo or the Graco FastAction Fold Jogger.

Bottom Line

Baby Jogger makes some of the best performance strollers that you can buy, and this model is no exception. Engineered for those that take jogging seriously, the X3 Summit is a great option for those looking for something that can handle more demanding terrain. Owners have been impressed with its overall performance and price and give it scores in the high 4’s out of 5 stars.

BOB Ironman Duallie Review & stroller running in general

I mentioned here that the BOB Ironman Duallie is one of my favorite baby items and that I would be doing a full review of the stroller. Deciding what strollers to get was not a decision I took lightly…..some might even say I put a little too much into the decision…and they might have a case. But, in my defense, when I read stroller reviews, so many of them would start off listing all the strollers they had previously owned that didn't work and how they wish they had just gotten "x" stroller in the beginning. Brian has a motto that we applied to picking strollers for the boys: Do it right the first time.

I knew I wanted a BOB because of the reputation, so I was choosing between the Ironman Duallie and the Revolution SE Duallie. I struggled wanting to get the Ironman because it is an expensive stroller and, since the front wheel is locked, it doesn't really double up as an everyday stroller and is really just an expensive stroller that you can only use for running. And while I looked forward to running with the boys, I didn't actually know if I would enjoy it. No pressure, right?

What made me decide on the BOB Ironman Duallie?

In short my analysis went like this: Running with a stroller is harder than running without a stroller. Running with two babies is harder than with one baby. Running with them will only continue to get harder as they get bigger. If it is too hard to run with the stroller, then I will lose the motivation to do so. Therefore, I want the stroller that makes stroller running as easy as it can be so I will want to do it and so it will be enjoyable. Plus, I wanted to be able to go on longer runs with them and to run with them regularly, as opposed to occasional shorter runs.

In all honesty, the Revolution Duallie didn't have much appeal to me as an everyday stroller anyway since it is so big and bulky. The single Revolution may have more utility as an everyday stroller, but the Duallie was just too big and bulky to really use as an everyday stroller anyway. So if I weren't using the stroller as an everyday one too, I figured I should get the stroller intended specifically for running. That basically sums up my thought process. See, I told you I put *a lot* of thought into this.

I should note here that I may not have debated so much between the two strollers if we were only having one baby and I would likely have gotten the Revolution SE. I think the single Revolution can double up as an everyday stroller much easier than the double.

Pros

Running with the Ironman Duallie is great and I cannot imagine a better jogging stroller. I am going to avoid the technical features like that it has pneumatic tires or describing the suspension system because I don't know what they mean and, instead, I'll tell you what I like about it in everyday terms. Here's my list:

• It has tires similar to a bicycle and, I don't know why exactly, but it makes a huge difference. The stroller feels like it is floating and it is honestly not as hard to push as you would think, especially when you consider I'm pushing 60 extra pounds (the stroller is 34lbs and the boys are over 30lbs together).

• I was a little nervous about the fixed wheel and wondered if it would be hard or awkward to turn. It's not. It was easy to adjust to and it is easy to turn the stroller by adjusting your weight or pushing on one side. To make a 90 degree turn, I normally pop the front tire up and turn on the back wheels.

• Another benefit about the wheels and construction (this is probably where the suspension system comes in), it is a very smooth ride for the boys….even when I pop that front tire up or go over bumps.

• Each seat independently reclines and has its own sun shade, which I personally think is a good size.

• A weather shield is available which is at the top of my wish list for next winter (we have to be almost done with the cold this year, right?!). I think this would allow me to be able run with the boys in cooler temps and if it were drizzling (obviously I would use judgment here…I am imagining the grandparents cringing right now).

• The shades each have a large viewing window I can open and am able to check on the boys.

• I use a head and body insert (found here) to help support the boys since they are still young and small.

Cons (note all of these things apply to all BOB strollers and I personally think the size and weight contribute to what makes the strollers so great):

• It's heavy (but that's true of all double strollers)

• It's bulky (again, true of all double strollers)

• It's expensive and does not come with any accessories, all accessories (console, car seat adapter, weather or sun shield, snack tray) are extra

What I like about stroller running

I honestly love running with the boys more than I thought I would and I can't wait for it to warm up so I can run with them more regularly. We are going to be traveling for several months starting in the spring and one of my biggest disappointments is that I might not be able to bring the stroller (first world problems, I know).

My first run was a 4 miler and I felt as if I could keep going when it was over. The best way to describe my initial impression was that it felt comparable to swimming with a kick board. The next run was 6 miles and then 8 miles. I am not worried about working my mileage up with the stroller at all, my biggest concern is actually having to go to the bathroom while I have the stroller with me. I don't really have a good solution there yet, it would be too big to get in anywhere with me.

What I don't like about stroller running

Now it is not all puppies and rainbows when you run with a stroller. There are two things that can be hard to begin with, but are a whole new world when pushing a stroller. Wind and hills. And you might as well forget about trying to go uphill in the wind with a stroller! It is also a lot of extra work to push the stroller while running. However, I hope it will pay off in the way running with a weighted vest pays off and I'll end up being surprisingly fast when I'm stroller free in races

Conclusion

With so many products to choose from there really is an option for everyone. Whether the passengers are twins or siblings of a different age, there is a product in our review that can handle the daily duty that comes with multiple children. With competition this stiff even we had trouble deciding which products deserved extra recognition, which resulted in our giving out multiple Editors' Choice awards and a special pick for outdoor adventures.

No matter what the budget or need, at least one of the strollers in our review should be able to fit the bill. Our goal with any review is to help parents crack the code of products so they can find the perfect fit without having to do any of the leg work to get there. Whether you are looking for a ride to get off the beaten path, or one to go around the block, we feel confident this review and our article on How to Pick the Best Double Stroller will be able to steer you in the right direction to the stroller of your dreams.

Contours Options – Best Tandem, General Purpose

Congratulations on the little one’s arrival – the bundle of joy thus arrived has brought around lots of happiness and special moments; we call it the miracle of life.

As a mom you would want the best for your baby, which is why selecting clothes, food and other necessities would be of immense importance.

But have you thought of the recreational needs – a stroller which would keep the baby safe, warm and cozy while you take him or her around; to familiarize the little one with the world, the sights and sounds around?

Moms need to pay heed!

When selecting any of the strollers you see online or around, the task can be daunting and a tricky one. This is especially when you have twins and wouldn’t know if you should buy two or one.

What you need is a stroller that can be pushed around easily and yet completely safe for the baby, the toddler or the older kids around. As a mom you have too much on your plate already, and hence choosing a stroller with too many bolts and screws, is a complete NO-NO.

The Contours Options LT Tandem Stroller is the answer for all your baby’s needs –sans issues mentioned. With 33.8 pounds to its weight, the Contours Options LT Tandem Stroller would be the best choice to have, is easy to manuovere and push, and seems to be the number one choice for many moms across the nation.

The lightweight Contours Options LT Tandem Stroller has two seats for twins to easily seat in. It is manufactured in such a way that one would be in front of the other.

And there would be separate shading for both children to have enough protection from the harmful UV rays of the sun too. This feature wouldn’t allow the child to suffocate as well, even if you elevate the backseat.

What we really adore and admire of the Contours Options LT Tandem Stroller would be the incredible features the stroller has, some of them are;

• The Contours Options LT Tandem Stroller can house two toddlers up to 80 pounds in weight. The height of the stroller can be adjusted for safety and the infants head would be protected by the safety harness too.

• There are separate components in the stroller for the child, each child that too. Right from the quirky chic canopies that would keep the vagaries of nature away, the rain and the sun especially to the removable child-napper bar which can be easily adjusted and accessed; also the leg bar for more comfort for the toddler too.

• Toddlers have a choice of six seating options; the versatile Contours Options LT Tandem Stroller can allow kids to sit faceward while you push the stroller ahead. This is amazing, so while you shop for groceries, you could watch what the little one is up to.Another option would be for the child to sit on opposite sides of one another, hence no in-ring fights.

Just in case you have just one kid; the other seat would be used to store the kids belongings, or seat your neighbour’s child for comfort. You could also have both the kids sitting front ways, so they have the best views of the sights and sounds around. And finally, the backseat if unused can be used as a car seat while you and your toddler embark on a nice long drive around town.

Easy to fold, easy to clean and very easy to pack, the Contours Options LT Tandem Stroller doesn’t need much space to house. The front and back tires are of 10 and 8 inches respectively, which wouldn’t deflate and hence are very reliable even on the roughest of terrains too.

Talking about moving around, this can be done with ease since the suspension system is aptly placed in the Contours Options LT Tandem Stroller. Now going out wouldn’t be a chore, not when the Contours Options LT Tandem Stroller is there to help.

Place all the child’s belongings into the backseat if there is just one kid you would be traveling with. From coffee mugs to other drinks, while you push the stroller, your baby and you could enjoy a nice evening out in the park.

The storage basket is strong and very sturdy, allowing you to carry what you want when they two of you are out in the park.

Moms across the nation are very happy with the Contours Options LT Tandem Stroller; hence the reviews for the product are the highest. What everyone likes about the double strollers is the steering, the storage and the quirky adjustable seats of the stroller.

Moms wouldn’t and do not find the stroller to be heavy to use and fold, hence the pros are a plenty.

Think luxury for the little one who’s just come into the world, and make this a journey of a lifetime they would begin with. As a mom, most of you would think of the Contours Options LT Tandem Stroller as a few months affair – but be surprised, even older kids can use the Contours Options LT Tandem Stroller too!

Britax B-Ready – Tie for Best Convertible Stroller

I was overcome by many different emotions when I first heard my wife Lisa was pregnant with twin boys. I was of course overjoyed, but I also worried about the cost of buying twice as much baby stuff. Fortunately, companies like Britax make baby products for people in our situation. Their B-Agile double stroller was a baby shower gift from my mother-in-law Tracy and it has been amazing. You can click here to see why we love it so much or just keep reading.

After delivering a couple of six pound miracles, Lisa needed time to recuperate, and the stroller allowed me to take both my sons walking simultaneously. They're nine months now but they both can still fit comfortably into the stroller. This is so much easier than walking one twin at a time and pushing two strollers is a nearly impossible task for one person.

One of the best features of the stroller is the height adjustable handle. I'm nearly a foot taller than Lisa, but we can both adjust the stroller to a height that we find ideal. Another great feature is the quick fold design which makes it easy to load the stroller into our minivan. The stroller is constructed from durable, light-weight aluminum so it weighs just over thirty-five pounds.

Even our babysitter Karen loves the double stroller, because it has so much storage room. There is an open storage area beneath and it can be accessed from behind the stroller. There is also additional storage in zipping pockets behind each seat. The protective canopies also fold down all the way to wipe the boy's faces or feed them. Best of all, the stroller is comfortable for my sons. It features an adjustable reclining seat, but the boys are typically sitting forward to observe the world around them. They can also interact with each other as the seats are adjacent. Tracy thought this was a better option than the Chicco Cortina together double stroller which has one sweat behind the other.

The B-Agile compared to other strollers

The Chicco Cortina Together Double Stroller design doesn't let the babies see and interact with one another. The Chicco is constructed as a single stroller with an extra seat added on to the back. However, the B-Agile is constructed like two strollers that have been melded together. Our stroller also features a larger canopy to shield my children's eyes from the sun. The B-Agile is also rated for up to fifty pounds per seat as opposed to the forty pounds per seat of the Chicco. This model also handles better than many other double strollers. It has four wheels on the front as opposed to other side-by-sides like the Schwinn Discover stroller which has only one. This makes for much easier handling going forward and backwards. The stroller also includes the Britax click & go infant car seat receivers which makes it easy to transfer the boys from the vehicle to the car and back.

Almost perfect

There are a few cons to the B-Agile stroller such as the price tag. However, Tracy only had to buy the one stroller so it's worth it. The stroller is also extremely wide, making it difficult to maneuver through small spaces. People who frequent public transit may find it to be too cumbersome. The design is slim enough to fit through standard doors, but others may have to stand aside for a moment. The stroller is also compatible only with Britax chaperone and B-Safe baby car seats. These are superior products to protect a child in a vehicle, but they may be beyond the more modest price ranges. Fortunately, the car seats can be left in the vehicle, because the five point harness in each seat will keep the babies secure during walks.

The stroller is definitely one of the best baby gifts we've received because it makes a little easier to raise twins. We've had to buy twice as many diapers, pacifiers and cribs, but we only need the one stroller. Of course, the B-Agile isn't perfect as is no baby product. However, the pros of the B-Agile far outweigh the cons and you can see one of these handsome strollers for yourself right here.

Baby Jogger City Select – Tie for Best Convertible Stroller

The Baby Jogger City Select Stroller Review – 2014 Model

US Price: $499

UK Price: £525

Stroller Weight: 28 lbs

Stroller Width: 25.75 inches

Max Child Weight: 45 lbs per seat

The Good - Travel system compatible with adaptor (sold separately) and with a second seat added can be used in 16 different configurations; Adjustable height handlebar; very large basket underneath; very easy to fold down and put up; folds pretty flat for easy carriage and storage. Nice big wheels for a smooth and comfortable ride; No re-thread adjustable 5-point harness makes it very quick and easy to modify the straps to fit your growing child.

The Bad - Quite expensive; heavier than the City Mini Stroller (almost 12 lbs more) and the City Mini GT (almost 7 lbs more).

The Bottom Line - The Baby Jogger City Select is an award winning stroller with some unique features to make transporting your baby or babies a much more enjoyable and convenient experience. It can used as a single stroller or a double stroller (with extra seat and adaptor) – in double stroller mode there are no fewer than 16 different configurations (see image below). It is heavier than the other stroller in the “City” series, but this does NOT make it difficult to manoeuvre or harder to fold flat when not in use.

Baby Jogger City Select Stroller - Overview

________________________________________

This is my fully independent and objective Baby Jogger City Select Stroller Review.

For those of you that prefer a visual demonstration of a stroller’s features, here is a great littlevideo overview of the Baby Jogger City Select’s key features:

There’s another one here too ..

Although this video shows the pre-2014 model of this stroller in action, the main features have not been significantly altered and you can still get a pretty good idea of how it works.

There is a video demonstration of the 2014 Model here:

The Baby Jogger City Select’s Great Features

________________________________________

Telescoping Adjustable Handle

The Baby Jogger City Mini Stroller has a fixed height non-adjustable handle that causes some people some problems.

The City Select, however, comes with a fantastic telescopic adjustable handle that will suit parents of all shapes and sizes.

The handle height is adjusted quickly and simply by pressing the gray button on its underside whilst pulling the handle up to the required height (see videos above).

Hand Brake

Unlike most strollers, the City Select comes with a hand brake instead of a foot brake. I suspect that for many people this won’t be much of an issue, but for the minority of parents that find it difficult to operate a foot brake, this will be a very welcome addition.

I can certainly see that this feature would make it much easier to secure the stroller in a parked state if you were wearing certain types of footwear or if you had a physical disability that affected your lower limbs.

To operate the brake, you just pull up the lever at the side of the handlebar. obviously, you just release it back down when you are ready to go again. Since the brake is positioned on the handlebar, you can actually operate it from the side and from in front of the stroller, rather than needing to be behind it.

Canopies

Just like the other Baby Jogger strollers, the canopy on this stroller is excellent. Unlike many other stroller canopies, the ones on the City Select are absolutely huge and fold down easily in 3 separate panels.

They also come with UV50+ sun protection, but have 2 peek-a-boo windows in each canopy so that you can keep any eye on your babies when you want to.

One other thing to note is that, unlike the old Baby Jogger City Mini strollers, the peek-a-boo windows on the City Select have a magnetic opening and closing mechanism rather than velcro fastenings. This means that you can take a look at your child without the risk of waking them up with a noisy ripping sound!

As for the canopy size, ask any parent that has had to suffer the problem of inadequate canopy coverage and they will tell you that this can be a really big problem in sunny weather conditions.

The last thing that you and your child need on a hot day is the sun blaring down on their face because of poor canopy coverage. Not only will it be uncomfortable for your child and prevent them from sleeping, but it can also be a health risk.

The City Select’s oversized canopy will avoid these problems and it is one of my favourite features for that very reason.

Easy Folding Mechanism

The City Select folds quickly and easily into a pretty flat unit.

You simply pull up on the handles at the side of the stroller and it automatically folds flat – once folded down, you can secure it in the collapsed position with a retaining clip. To open the stroller unit out, you simply undo the retaining clip (if used) and pull on the handle to see it open up.

This mechanism is better demonstrated than described in words and I suggest that you watch any of the videos above to see just how easy it is to fold the stroller up and down.

Converts to Double Stroller (16 Configurations)

You can purchase an adaptor and extra seat for the City Select Stroller.

The 2 seats can then be arranged into one of 16 different configurations depending upon your specific needs.

Adjustable Seat(s)

The seats on the City Select have a child weight limit of 45 lbs each and are fully adjustable with multiple recline positions.

The multi-position footwell is a great way to give your child a little extra leg room when they get taller and helps to prevent them from feeling squashed/restricted.

The Wheels

The City Select is fitted with 8 inch lightweight front wheels that can swivel to make this stroller very manoeuvrable. The 12 inch forever-air rear tires allow the City Select to cover all kinds of terrain without worrying about getting a puncture, because the forever-air feature simply means that the tires are filled with a special foam substance rather than air.

Very Large Storage Basket

One of the main complaints about the Baby Jogger City Mini models was the rather small storage basket underneath the seat(s). Whilst there were ways around this problem (e.g. clips that attach to the handle to hang shopping bags from), it would have been nice if they had supplied a larger basket in the first place.

The City Select, however, comes with a much larger storage basket. There is also a zip mechanism fitted to the rear of the basket to make access much easier too – no more trying to squeeze the cereal boxes through the space between the wheels and the stroller frame! See the videos above for a better illustration of the impressive size of the storage basket.

Technical Specifications at a Glance

________________________________________

Below is an easy reference guide to help you identify the Baby Jogger City Select’s important technical specifications:

Color Options

The Baby Jogger City Select (2014 model) comes in a number of great colors, including:

Baby Jogger City Mini Double GT – Side-by-Side, All-Terrain – Best Value

A double buggy suitable from birth, with all terrain wheels. Although we found the Baby Jogger City Mini GT Double a handful to say, it was perfect for scooting around anywhere from a forest to the high street. It is available in the usual colours of black and also (our preferred favourite) crimson.

As a buggy the City Mini GT Double is less than 30” wide it can fit through any standard sized door frame. We found it was perfectly moveable around the house, and even coming back in through the front door.

Seat

Each highly padded seat can recline separately to a near flat position, so whether one child be sleeping and the other wanting to sit up and explore it greatly accommodates for both. There are vented seats which stop the child over heating and also a retractable weather cover (or hood) for those not so sunny days. And as it’s suitable from birth, with another child already it’s perfect for taking the two out together; or if another one comes along there is also an attachable Glider Board (from £44) for any toddlers.

The five point safety harness doesn’t allow for any little fingers to un-strap themselves, especially with two in the buggy. There are shoulder pads and buckle covers for that little bit more added comfort.

Ride

The City Mini GT Double has forever- air tyres, so with never need to be re-inflated and the all-terrain wheels will let you take your buggy anywhere off or on road. We particularly found it was great travelling across county and fields, with a child in either seat. The suspension is also great, which allowed the buggy to perfectly fulfil its job of being all-terrain types. Lockable front wheels are also great as they can either be fixed or unfixed into position; so for walking longer distances in a straight line we found it to be great.

Folding

The buggy itself enables it to be folded with a two handed, single movement; so for anyone in a rush to hop onto a bus or pop it in a car boot it’s very easy to fold.

We found that when using public transport it was light enough to carry, and very easy to fold as the simple ‘pull-to-fold’ handles work wonders.

There is also an auto-lock on the buggy so once folded, makes it even easier to carry around too. A Carry Bag can also be purchased if you want to be able to make the folded stroller even more convenient to carry.

Sun Canopy

There are two SPF 50 + certificated hood canopies, one for each seat, which can be adjusted individually. Each of these hoods also have two separate peek-a-boo style windows, also individually adjusted. With three separate layers to the hood itself; it is easy to either block out the rain or let the sun shone in.

Storage

The under buggy storage is more than large enough to accommodate for the baggage of travelling with two children, it is very spacious and we managed to fit in more than enough to go travelling for the day; with extra space left over. And seat back storage adds that little bit more if needed.

If you do find you keep losing your keys or phone because the storage basket is so large, a Baby Jogger Universal Parent Console (from £25.50) is a great handy accessory and is large enough to carry anything a parent may require quickly to hand.

Handlebars

With an adjustable handlebar it accommodates for all heights, and the hand operated parking brake located on the side is perfect for any situation

Accessories

For colder months Baby Jogger Footmuff’s (from £34.95) will keep your little ones toes nice and toastie. We loved getting two different colour Footmuffs to accessorise our buggy that little bit more, plus our children loved being able to pick their favourite colour. A compact Carrycot (from £104) is great if you want a newborn to have that extra bit of privacy. It’s extremely comfy and gave that extra comfort when out and about. A Raincover (from £24.95) that covers the two seats is also available if venturing in any wet weather, and a Belly Bar (from £28.50) would came in very useful as is covers the length of the whole buggy. We found that by it spreading across the two seats in enabled both children in the buggy to engage with each other a lot easier. And a Liquid Holster (from £17.95) just added that extra touch, but also stopping any unwanted spillages.

Remember Baby Jogger doesn’t allow stockists to display prices online, so make sure you do look around. When we did a price enquiry (January 2015) we found:

BOB Revolution Duallie Flex – Side-by-Side, All-Terrain – Best Ride

Designed in an effective side by side style, your children will be right next to each other, strapped in safely, and will be comfortable and content. • Waterproof material.

Benefits:

• This is a great choice for parents and caregivers of two children, as it will allow you to have them side by side and secure through any journey.

• Travel anywhere from the zoo, to the woods, to the beach in this versatile ride.

• State of the art suspension system that will make sure your baby or toddler isn't bumping around in their seat.

• The swiveling wheel allows the ultimate maneuvering capabilities and lets you move quickly, through crowded areas, or whatever your environment presents you with. Turning is extremely easy.

• The stroller is very easy to manage as it is easy to fold up and store away. It is sturdy and yet lightweight, meaning you won't feel like the stroller is too hard for you to manage. This stroller definitely feels like a natural extension to your daily routine and allows you to move your children effortlessly.

• The side by side design is definitely a great design because it allows you to access both of your children at once and make sure that everything is running smoothly.

• I can describe the stroller as like pushing air, that is how weightless and suspended it is. There is also a peek-a-boo canopy so that you can see your child while you're on the move and check up on them, which is a very convenient benefit.

• Cushion like support all over the seat as well as a comfortable headrest for your children.

Cons:

• I found the stroller to be a bit heavier than other models. If you're looking to push it around all day, it could provide you with some good exercise.

• The fold is rather large and can be hard to fit into some cars.

All in all

This stroller gets the job done and is perfect for parents like myself who like to get out in the mountains hiking, on the beach, and have their children along for the ride. This stroller is very versatile, is protective and secure, and will definitely impress you. The only drawbacks is that it could be too large or heavy for some users, but I find it to be perfect and the maneuvering wheel and suspension system are two of the main factors that contribute to my high opinion of this stroller. You should definitely check out this stroller to see if it is something you might see yourself using to get your children around quickly and comfortably.

I remember as a kid growing up in the 1970s how exciting it was to stay at a Holiday Inn. As soon as we checked in, my sister and I would put on our bathing suits and jump in the pool. Those were the days when families took big road trips every summer. Good times.

The Big Freeport Indian, off the highway outside a former "trading post" store in Freeport, Maine. His is known by his initials B. F. I. - which of course also led to him being known as The Big Fucking Indian. When we were kids the sight of this Indian told us the long car ride was almost over and we were nearly at our grandma's.

Beat me to it! There's quite a few all over PA, WV, OH, IN, MI

I LOVE those "fundraiser" cookbooks from churches, fraternal organizations, ethnic groups, etc. My favorites are from a Mennonite church and the Polish American veterans.
